Is it permissible to seek help or cooperation from jinn?

No. This is one of the clearer boundaries in the subject.

Surah Al-Jinn addresses the pre-Islamic practice of men seeking refuge with jinn, and states that it only increased them in burden. Surah Al-An'am refers to the mutual benefit humans and jinn took from one another as something the parties will answer for.

Seeking assistance, information, or partnership from jinn is the mechanism by which sihr operates. A sorcerer's power is not his own; it comes from an arrangement, and the price is almost always something that removes him from Islam.

Some material in this field describes cooperating with Muslim jinn, receiving help from them, or organising them. Whatever the intention, this is territory to stay out of entirely. There is no way to verify what one is dealing with, no benefit that could not be sought directly from Allah, and clear warning against the practice.
