What is laid or buried sihr?

Laid sihr refers to something buried, hidden or placed in a location connected to the person: a home, a threshold, a workplace, or land.

Reported signs relate to place rather than body. A heaviness that appears on entering and lifts on leaving. Arguments that begin immediately indoors. A business that declines with nothing having changed. Sleep that is poor in one house and fine elsewhere.

The treatment described

  • Recite over water and sprinkle it through the rooms, particularly corners, thresholds, drains and bathrooms
  • Recite Surah Al-Baqarah in the property, or play it regularly
  • Pray voluntary prayers inside rather than only at the masjid
  • Remove images of animate beings and dogs kept without need

The treatment does not require finding anything. This matters, because it removes the reason people dismantle their own homes searching.

Check the ordinary explanations first: damp, poor ventilation, plumbing noise, faulty wiring, and carbon monoxide, which is odourless and causes headaches, dread and confusion. Fit a detector.
