Is practising ruqya dangerous for the healer?

Practitioners do report pushback, particularly those who work regularly with difficult cases. Some experience disturbed sleep, fatigue, friction at home, or a sense of being targeted.

Sensible precautions handle most of it:

  • Maintain your own daily adhkar without exception, morning and evening.
  • Recite Ayat al-Kursi before sleeping and keep Surah Al-Baqarah playing in the home.
  • Guard your prayers. Consistency in salah is the foundation of protection.
  • Do not overload yourself. Fatigue is not spiritual attack, and treating twenty people a week will exhaust anyone.
  • Stay in contact with more experienced practitioners rather than working in isolation.

Keep the fear in proportion. Nothing reaches you except by the permission of Allah. Some capable people avoid this work entirely out of dread, and that leaves the field to those least qualified to hold it.
