What are the warning signs of a fake healer?

Charlatans follow a recognisable script. Walk away if you encounter any of the following:

• He asks for identifying details such as your mother's name, your birth date, or a personal belonging. This is divination, not recitation.
• He tells you things about yourself that he could not know, presenting it as proof of his power.
• He sells talismans, amulets, written papers or rings to wear, bury, or hang in your home.
• He mutters phrases you cannot understand or writes in symbols and broken script.
• He names the person who harmed you. No legitimate practitioner does this, and the accusations it produces have destroyed families.
• He tells you to stop your medication or to leave your doctor.
• He demands a large sum in advance and promises a guaranteed cure.

Genuine healing is never sold with a guarantee. Only Allah cures.
