What is eaten sihr and what are its signs?

Eaten sihr, or sihr ma'kul, refers to something administered through food or drink. It is described as the most common type encountered.

The reported signs centre on the digestive system: persistent stomach pain, nausea, a feeling of blockage or heaviness after eating, appetite that vanishes or becomes erratic, and discomfort that moves around the abdomen.

This is a case where medical investigation is not optional. Every symptom on that list is also produced by ulcers, gallstones, IBS, coeliac disease, H. pylori infection, food intolerance and several conditions that are serious when left untreated. These are common, diagnosable, and treatable.

See a doctor and complete the investigation properly. Perform ruqya alongside it. If tests return clear and symptoms persist despite treatment, that is the point at which practitioners would consider other explanations. Not before.
