Can jinn know the future or hidden matters?

No. Knowledge of the unseen belongs to Allah alone, and the Quran is emphatic. Surah Al-An'am states that with Him are the keys of the unseen, which none knows but He. Surah An-Naml instructs that none in the heavens or earth knows the unseen except Allah.

Surah Saba contains a directly relevant account: the jinn working for Sulayman did not realise he had died until a creature ate through his staff and he fell. They did not know something happening in front of them.

Two consequences follow.

Anyone claiming to obtain hidden knowledge through jinn, about your future, your past, or who harmed you, is claiming something impossible. The Prophet, peace be upon him, warned that whoever visits a fortune teller and believes him has rejected what was revealed.

And whatever a voice says during a ruqya session is not knowledge. It is not evidence about any person, and practitioners who produce names on this basis have destroyed families on nothing at all.
